An AI study partner for students who can’t wait for office hours
Context
Across Nigerian universities, polytechnics and colleges, one lecturer can be responsible for hundreds of students. Personal academic support is scarce, and much of the real studying happens late, alone and on a phone.
Challenge
Students need help that is patient, available at any hour and grounded in what they are actually studying, without assuming a laptop, a fast connection or money for private lessons.
Thinking
Study happens in bursts
Most students study in short, intense windows before tests and exams. The product has to be useful within the first minute of opening it.
The phone is the campus
For many students the phone is the only personal computer they have. Every screen was designed for a small viewport and a metered data plan first.
Explanation beats answers
An answer gets a student through one question. An explanation gets them through the exam. The AI is shaped to teach, not just to reply.

- Tutor AI, which explains a student’s own courses step by step: key idea, example, exam tip, then a practice question
- Tutor Mode, which plans each sitting around the time a student has: check, teach, practise, check again, recap
- Course tracking with a weekly study readiness score and a suggested focus session for each day
