Digital product development, from idea to operating product
A product is more than software. It is a clear problem, a group of people who have it, an experience they choose to come back to and a business that sustains it. We work across all four, because building the software is rarely the hardest part.
Who it’s for
- Founders with an idea and a market, but no product team
- Established companies launching a new digital line of business
- Teams with a product that needs a sharper strategy or a rebuild
What’s included
Discovery
Research and conversations that test the idea before code is written.
Product strategy
Positioning, scope and a roadmap tied to business outcomes.
Design
Experience, interface and a design system that scales.
Engineering
Web applications and platforms built to be maintained.
Launch and iteration
Measurement and improvement cycles after release.
How we approach it
Strategy before software. We would rather spend two weeks finding the right thing to build than two months building the wrong one.
Cost and time
What affects the cost
- How much is known and validated today
- Breadth of the first release
- Design and brand requirements
- Ongoing product support after launch
How long it takes
Discovery takes two to four weeks. A first release follows in eight to sixteen weeks, depending on what discovery reveals.
Every proposal we send includes a written scope, a dated plan and a fixed price for that scope.
Questions
Can you work with our in-house team?
Yes. We can lead the product, fill specific gaps in design or engineering, or hand over to your team as it grows.
How involved do we need to be?
Most in discovery and at each release review. We need a decision-maker who can answer questions within a day or two; between reviews, we keep you updated without needing your time.
Why should we trust a studio with our product?
Because we build and run products of our own, like CampusTutor, and we carry that operating experience into client work.
