Custom software development for Nigerian and African organisations

Software built around how your business works

When spreadsheets, disconnected tools or off-the-shelf systems no longer fit, we map how your organisation actually runs, then design and build one system around it, connected to the tools you already use.

  • We map your process before we write code
  • You own the software and the code
  • Reply within two working days
Illustration: scattered tools replaced by one system, connected to the ones that work

When your software doesn’t fit, your team adapts

Nobody decides to run a business on workarounds. It happens one spreadsheet, one WhatsApp group and one “just email it to me” at a time.

  • Spreadsheets everywhere

Several versions of the same file, and nobody sure which one is current.

  • The same data, typed again and again

Details entered into one tool, then copied into the next, with mistakes along the way.

  • Approvals lost in email and WhatsApp

Requests wait in someone’s inbox, and nobody can see where anything stands.

  • Systems that don’t talk to each other

Sales, finance and operations each have their own tool and their own version of the truth.

  • Reports that take days

Someone pulls numbers from four places every month, and they’re out of date by the time they’re read.

  • Software that says “no”

The tool you pay for can’t handle the way you work, so your team works around it.

Your people shouldn’t have to work around your software. Your software should work the way your business does

Off-the-shelf or custom?

Off-the-shelf software is often the right answer. Custom software makes sense when your requirements justify it. Here is the honest difference.

Off-the-shelf software

Quick to start, and cheaper when your needs are standard

  • You adapt your processes to the product
  • Features are built for the average customer
  • You pay for features you don’t use
  • Integrations are limited to what the vendor offers
  • Workarounds grow as your business does

Custom software

Worth it when the way you work is what sets you apart

  • The system is designed around your requirements
  • Workflows match how your operations actually run
  • Only the features you need, in the order you need them
  • Connected to the tools you already use
  • You own it, and it grows with your organisation

Often the best answer is both: keep the standard tools that work, and build only the part that doesn’t fit. We’ll tell you which applies to you.

From scattered tools to one system

The same work, before and after it has a system built for it. People still make the decisions. The system keeps the record.

Spread across tools

  1. PersonA request arrives by email or WhatsApp
  2. PersonSomeone copies the details into a spreadsheet
  3. PersonThe request is forwarded to a manager
  4. PersonThe requester asks for updates
  5. PersonThe decision is recorded, if someone remembers

5 of 5 steps done by hand

In one system

  1. AutomatedThe request is submitted through a form with the right fields
  2. AutomatedIt is checked against your rules and routed to the right approver
  3. PersonThe manager approves or rejects in one click
  4. AutomatedThe requester is notified and the decision is logged

1 of 4 steps need a person, and every step is recorded

Discuss your software project

We don’t start by writing code

Most failed software projects were built on assumptions. We start by understanding how work moves today, with the people who do it.

  1. What happens today?

Every step, including the ones nobody wrote down.

  2. Who does each task?

The roles involved, and what each one needs to see and do.

  3. Where does information come from, and where does it go?

Forms, calls, emails, other systems and the reports at the end.

  4. Where are the bottlenecks?

The steps where work waits, gets lost or gets done twice.

  5. What rules govern the process?

Limits, approvals, eligibility and the exceptions to them.

  6. What should be automated, and what stays human?

Software for the repetitive steps. People for judgement and accountability.

You get a written map of your process and a prioritised scope, before any development is agreed.

We design around how you actually work

Software isn’t a collection of screens. It is a model of how your organisation operates, so we start there.

  • Your workflows

The real steps, including the exceptions.

  • Your users

Staff, managers, customers and partners, each with their own view.

  • Your business rules

Prices, limits, eligibility and the logic only your team knows.

  • Your approvals

Who signs off on what, and what happens when they’re away.

  • Your data

What you collect, where it lives and who can see it.

  • Your reporting

The numbers leadership asks for, without anyone compiling them.

  • Your existing tools

What stays, what connects and what the new system replaces.

  • Your security needs

Who can access what, and what has to be recorded.

  • Your growth plans

More users, branches or countries, without a rebuild.

What we build

Systems for the people inside your organisation, the people it serves, and the data that connects them.

    • Run side by side

What this looks like in practice

Examples of the systems organisations like yours ask for. They’re illustrations to help you picture your own, not past projects.

  • A school

A student portal for admissions, fees, results and parent updates, instead of paper files and bank tellers.

  • A logistics company

A dispatch system that assigns riders, tracks deliveries and records proof of delivery.

  • An NGO

A programme and grants platform that tracks applications, disbursements and reporting to donors.

  • A professional services firm

A client portal for documents, requests and progress updates, instead of email chains.

  • A healthcare provider

An internal system for referrals, appointments and handover between departments.

  • A distributor

Inventory and order management across warehouses, sales reps and trade customers.

  • A financial services company

A customer onboarding platform that collects documents, runs checks and routes approvals.

  • A growing company

One dashboard for the numbers leadership asks for every week, without anyone compiling them.

How we build your system

Six stages, each ending in something you can see and approve. You always know what is being built, what it costs and what comes next.

  1. Discover

    Your business, users and challenges

Conversations with the people who do the work, not only the people who manage it.

    You get A problem brief

  2. Map and define

    Workflows, rules and scope

Processes documented and features prioritised into releases.

You get Written scope and release plan

  3. Design

    Experience and architecture

Clickable screens your team can try, and the technical plan behind them.

    You get Prototype and architecture

  4. Build

    In structured phases

Working software to review every week or two, so nothing surprises you at the end.

    You get Working software

  5. Integrate and test

    Connected and proven

Existing systems connected, then tested for function, security, performance and real-world use.

    You get A tested system

  6. Deploy and support

    Launched, monitored, improved

Released with training and monitoring, then maintained and improved as your needs change.

You get A live system your team uses

Built around the tools you already use

Custom software doesn’t have to replace everything. It can sit at the centre and connect to what already works.

The system, and the work it does on its own

Custom software gives your process a home. Automation lets that system handle the repetitive steps around it, so your team only touches what needs judgement.

See business automation

Example: a new application

  1. Application received
  2. Details captured
  3. Eligibility checked against your rules
  4. Assigned to an officer
  5. Officer reviews and decidesPerson
  6. Applicant notified
  7. Dashboard updated

Security designed in, not added later

Systems that run your operations hold sensitive data. We decide how it is protected at the architecture stage, before the first screen is built.

  • Secure sign-in

Strong authentication, with two-step verification where you need it.

  • Access by role

People see and change only what their role allows.

  • Audit trails

A record of who did what and when, for the actions that matter.

  • Validated data

Every input checked on the server, so bad data and malicious input are rejected.

  • Secure APIs

Authenticated, rate-limited connections between your systems.

  • Backups and recovery

Regular backups, and a tested way to restore them.

  • Monitoring

Errors and unusual activity alert us before they become problems.

  • Careful deployment

Changes tested before release, with a way to roll back.

We will discuss where your data is stored, who can access it and any regulations you must meet, such as data protection law. We don’t claim certifications we don’t hold.

AI, where it earns its place

Most systems don’t need AI. Some steps do: reading documents, sorting requests or answering questions from your own information. We add it there, and only there.

  • Reading and extracting data from documents
  • Sorting and routing requests
  • Summarising long records or threads
  • Search that understands questions
  • Internal assistants that answer from your documents
  • Spotting patterns in your data

AI suggests, people decide. Every AI feature we build has a person checking the results where mistakes would matter. See AI automation

Do you need custom software?

Not always. Here is how to tell.

Custom software may be right if

  • Your processes are specific to how you operate
  • Your current software doesn’t fit, so people work around it
  • Core operations run on spreadsheets
  • Departments use systems that don’t talk to each other
  • You need a portal for customers, members or staff
  • You need several systems to work as one
  • Your organisation has outgrown its current tools

It may not be necessary if

  • A standard product already does the jobUse it. If it’s close but not quite, we may be able to connect it to your other tools instead. See business automation
  • You plan to sell the software to other businessesThat’s a SaaS product, with different decisions about accounts, billing and growth. See SaaS development

Is custom software what you need?

Each of our services solves a different problem. If one of these describes you better, start there.

  • Custom softwareThis page

A purpose-built system for one organisation’s own operations, users and rules.

  • SaaS development

A software product you’ll sell to many customers, each with their own account.

  • Business automation

Connect the tools you already have and automate repetitive steps between them.

  • AI automation

Use AI for tasks that need reading, interpretation or judgement.

  • E-commerce development

An online store that sells your products and handles orders and payments.

  • Web development

A website that explains your business and brings in enquiries.

Priced on scope, after we understand the problem

A staff request portal for one department is a different project from an operations platform for five branches. We start by understanding the problem, then send a written scope with a fixed price for each release.

  • AI features
  • Hosting and support needs

How we take the risk out of a software project

Software projects go wrong in predictable ways. Here is how we prevent each one.

Requirements
Documented in writing during discovery, in your language, and agreed before development starts.
Scope and price
A written scope with a fixed price for each release. Changes are agreed before they happen.
Progress
Working software to review every week or two, not status reports.
Testing
Tested for function, security and performance, then with your team on real tasks before launch.
Deployment
Released in stages where possible, with monitoring in place and a way to roll back.
Your data
Migrated carefully, checked against the source, and stored where we agree with you.
Ownership
The software, the code, the data and the documentation are yours. No lock-in.
After launch
Support and maintenance, and further development as your needs change, or a full handover to your team.

How much does custom software cost?

Custom software starts from ₦2,000,000. The final price depends on the scope, number of user roles, workflow complexity, integrations and data migration. After discovery we send a written scope with a fixed price for each release, so you always know the cost before work starts.

How long does custom software development take?

A first usable release is often achievable in eight to twelve weeks. Larger systems grow in stages after that, each one planned and priced separately.

Do I need a technical specification?

No. Most clients come with a problem, not a specification. Writing the requirements with you is part of discovery.

Can you help define our requirements?

Yes. We map your process with the people who do the work, document the rules and priorities, and turn them into a scope you approve.

Can you replace our existing software?

Yes, where replacing it makes sense. We can rebuild in stages and run the old and new systems side by side, so your operations never stop.

Can you integrate our current systems?

Usually, yes. Most modern tools have APIs, and where they don’t we use practical bridges such as scheduled imports. We confirm what is possible with each system during discovery.

Can you build internal business software?

Yes. Internal platforms for staff, operations, approvals and reporting are a core part of what we build.

Can you build customer or client portals?

Yes. Secure portals where customers, members or clients submit requests, upload documents, pay and track progress.

Can you integrate Paystack or Flutterwave?

Yes. We integrate either for payments, and verify every payment with the provider before your system records it as paid.

Can you integrate WhatsApp?

Yes, through the WhatsApp Business Platform, for notifications and updates to people who agree to receive them. It needs a business account and approved message templates, which we help you set up.

Can you integrate our ERP or CRM?

Usually, if it offers an API or data export. We check your specific system during discovery and tell you what can be connected before anything is agreed.

Can you modernise an old application?

Yes. We rebuild it on a modern foundation in stages, move its data across and check it against the original, so nothing is lost.

Can you add AI?

Where it saves real time, such as reading documents, sorting requests or answering questions from your own information. We don’t add AI where a simple rule would do.

Who owns the software?

You do. The software, the code, the data and the documentation are yours, whoever hosts and maintains it.

Do you provide maintenance and continued development?

Yes. We offer support and maintenance after launch, and can keep developing the system as your needs change. If you’d rather run it yourselves, we hand everything over with documentation.

Do you work with organisations outside Nigeria?

Yes. We are based in Abuja and work with organisations across Africa and beyond, mostly remotely, with calls scheduled around your working hours.
