Grassroots Childcare Initiative
A website that helps a grassroots health NGO earn trust and support

Context
Grassroots Childcare Initiative (GCCI) is a community-based NGO, registered with the CAC since 2013 and based in Abuja. It brings basic healthcare, health education and maternal and child health support to underserved communities in the FCT, Kaduna and other states.
Challenge
An NGO’s website has several jobs at once: explain the work clearly, prove that it is real and accountable, and make it easy for donors, volunteers and partners to act. Much of that audience arrives on a phone.
Thinking
Trust comes first
Donors and partners look for proof before they give. The site leads with registration details, years of work, leadership and photos from real outreach.
Show where the money goes
A three-step explanation of how a donation moves, from gift to field to quarterly update, answers the question most donors never ask out loud.
Every visitor gets a next step
Donors, volunteers, partners and community members each have a clear way to help, without hunting for it.
Solution
- A single-page story that moves from mission to programmes, impact, field stories and ways to help
- Eight programme areas presented clearly, from community outreach to child protection
- A donation journey with one-time and monthly giving, explained step by step
- Routes to volunteer, partner or get in touch for every kind of supporter
- Field stories and a photo gallery from real community outreach
Experience

Believe
Registration, years of work, leadership and field photos build confidence.
Act
Clear routes to donate, volunteer, partner or get in touch.
Screens

Eight programme areas, each explained in a sentence a first-time visitor can follow.
Built for phones first, where most visitors arrive.
Programmes recomposed for small screens, not shrunk.
The donation journey, explained before anyone is asked to give.

Impact reported plainly, in GCCI’s own figures.
Real photos from the field do more for trust than any claim.
